MENTAL HEALTH / SUBSTANCE ABUSE ASSESSMENT
Clients
We provide substance abuse assessments in our office or on-site for clients referred by the court or attorneys. This comprehensive assessment involves a bio-psycho-social history, relevant medical history, and in the case of substance abuse issues, the use of the Substance Abuse Subtle Symptom Inventory(SASSI). The outcome is a prepared document with an overview of the findings, conclusions and recommendations based on inventory scores and collateral information.
Employee
A Mental Health and-or Substance Abuse Assessment may be appropriate when attempting to determine the best course of action with an employee who has had a breach of company policy and whose position with the company is in jeopardy. The employee must willingly submit to assessment and appropriate release of information paperwork is in place prior to contact. This comprehensive assessment involves a bio-psycho-social history, relevant medical history, and in the case of substance abuse issues, the use of the Substance Abuse Subtle Symptom Inventory. The outcome is a prepared document with an overview of the findings, conclusions and recommendations based on inventory scores and collateral information. Treatment resources and care coordination to assist employees entering treatment is available.
PSYCHIATRIC AND SUBSTANCE ABUSE EMERGENCY TRIAGE
Employee
We can provide on-site emergency triage for those occasions when a staff member is experiencing an emotional crisis, regardless of the source. We have experience navigating mental health and substance abuse services in and around Austin. We provide an on-site or in-home “level of care” assessment to triage the situation, develop a plan and determine the next course of action. Clients requiring this service may enter a psychiatric or substance abuse facility to begin treatment. Staff debriefing is also provided as needed for employees impacted by the situation.
Family Member or Loved One
